If you have ever been to the city of Manchester, you will be familiar with the impressive and unforgettable sights and attractions that it has to offer, often for free. The city is a highly active place, brimming with media companies and creativity, but where is the best place to go?

Manchester has a rich history of culture and development; famous for its musical significance and liberal attitude to the LGBT community. Despite the city not having the same appeal as larger cities, such as London, there are many things to see there, as well as a thriving economy and some beautiful landscapes.

I have visited Manchester many times, often only for a short time and have discovered a great deal of things that are definitely worth seeing. Below are my top attractions to see in this fantastic city.

5. The Whitworth Art Gallery: This gallery has a collection of over 55,000 items, is free to enter and has some of the most interesting pieces in the UK as well as a number of unique exhibits. A short while ago, I visited this gallery to view Gregor Schneider’s ‘Kinderzimmer’, which was an expansive area that had no lighting within, except for an eerily lit up room that solely contained a child's mattress that appeared dirty. This was a very weird but interesting experience.

4. For museum-lovers, the Manchester Museum: Owned and operated by Manchester University, it does not cost anything to enter and has recently been awarded as one of the best university museums in England. Featuring around six million within, such as old models, animal skeletons, dinosaur bones and an array of items from different periods. Inexpensive, interesting and unforgettable!

3. Gig venues, such as the Manchester Academy: If you are into new music and a variety of bands, then you will absolutely love Manchester Academy. Music has been at the heart of Manchester the cultural epicentre and the presence of the Manchester Academy reinforces this strongly. Boasting a varied roster of bands playing, such as Basshunter, Bloody Beetroots and Ash, the Academy always has an amazingly electric atmosphere.

2. Shopping centres, such as the Trafford Centre: Shoppers come from all around the UK to view to see the plethora of amazing shops contained within. The nearby shopping centres have proven very popular with workers with a Manchester office. With a large and modern food court, a cinema and a number of high-street shops (and smaller independent retailers), this centre will be a delight for every shopper who visits.

1. Lush landscapes: Although Manchester is typically thought of as a highly industrialised city, it has a large amount of fantastic greenery and a selection of some of the most famous parks of the UK. Heaton Park stands out as one of the best in the region, featuring an animal centre, playgrounds and three cafes, among other sights, this presents the perfect opportunity to relax in fresh air. It would be a great idea to visit other parks that have been widely celebrated, such as Wythenshawe and Queens Park.

Whilst, without prior knowledge, it can be even more fun to explore Manchester and finding out your own personal favourites, these factors can help you to have a fantastic day out.
Author Resource:- A huge directory of business organisations chose Manchester office space / real estate as a location for their corporate headquarters as a result of its central location and its fantastic transport links in the M62 which connects east to west and the M6 which connects north to south.
