A Positano Wedding is one straight from a fairy tale. Positano is such a picturesque place that even the famous author John Steinbeck described it as “a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.”

Positano is the best known village in the Amalfi coast for romantic weddings. It is truly a sight to behold with its white and pastel colored houses clustered together on a steep terraced hillside. With bright and sunny skies overhead and the blue green waters of the ocean below.

It was once a fishing port of the Amalfi republic during the medieval times. A relatively poor fishing village during the first half of the 20th century. But because of published articles about the beauty and splendor of the place, tourists began to flock to Positano. Tourism is its major industry. Most tourists, who come to visit, fall in love with the place and eventually dream of having a Positano wedding.

Featured in several films like “Only You” and “Under the Tuscan sun” to name a few, primarily because of its panoramic view and dramatic coastline. Positano has also inspired singer and songwriter Shawn Phillips to compose some of his best known works while living in the island. Even Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones wrote the song “ Midnight Rambler” while on a vacation there. Little wonder then why there are a lot of women who wants a Positano Wedding.

Positano Weddings are usually held in the terrace of the Town Hall and is officiated by the Mayor. A really magical setting because the terrace sits on the very top of the hill and all around it are the magnificent views of the ocean and the really beautiful sunrises and sunsets that is simply breathtaking. There is also a another venue just in case the weather turns out bad, still in the Positano Town Hall but indoors with charming interiors. It is a scenic location that would forever be embedded in one’s memory not only because of its beauty but also because of the festive mood that can be readily felt when in Positano.

One of the highlights of a Positano Wedding is its pictures because of the colorful location and original structures dating way back. Couples are also toured around Positano while being photographed so one is assured that every moment is captured. I am pretty sure you would agree that being able to capture everything on this momentous event such as the happy and excited smiles, the tears on the faces, the kiss, the cutting of the cake, the dance, etc is one of the most important thing that we should never forget. These pictures will forever be passed on to later generations and most probably become an example for future weddings in the family.

A wedding is one of the most momentous occasions in one’s life. And one could never go wrong with having Positano wedding. For a truly remarkable wedding, come and celebrate it in Positano.
