Everyone are always thinking about the simplest strategy of submitting articles for the best results. Which tactics are the simplest and most effective?
The primary strategy is to submit your article to the granddaddy of all article directories, EzineArticles. It has built itself up as being the top article directory in town. It is loved by marketers and by readers and most importantly, by Google.
A lot marketers find themselves getting frustated because of the submission guidelines and long approval times.
However, if you understand their policies and stick to them, your articles will get through without a hitch.
When your article are listed in EzineArticles you instantly receive benefits from it. Articles in this directory often rank high in Google, even without backlinks at them.
Throw in a few backlinks and you will find your articles ranking well for chosen keywords. Frequently you don't even need any backlinks for your articles to rank well.
Once your article has been published you can do some quick backlinking to it to give it a boost up the search engines.
First of all, submit your EzineArticle author RSS feed to the RSS directories. There are tools that will do this for you, or you can do it manually. Just choose the top ten directories in Google for now if you are doing it manually. Keep track of the ones you have submitted to so you can easily add other directories later on.
You can notify many sites about your new article using one of the many available ping services. This does give Ezinearticles a lift, but it also gets your article noticed.
You could also social bookmark your article. There are many tools that will do this or you can do it by hand. A well written article could be submitted to Digg or Stumbleupon to get added links and traffic.
There are lots of other article directories you might use, but none of them are as good for ranking as EzineArticles. The biggest contender on the block is Google Knoll. At present, these don't appear to be ranking as well as Ezinearticles, but it is a good means to get the Google to look at your sites.
It is not worth it submitting articles manually to any more directories except the top few major ones. Most of the rest get so little traffic and are only worth it for the backlink. Hence you should outsource or automate these submissions.
If you are article marketing then you need to ensure they are on Ezinearticles for the best visitors. With a bit of backlinking to your article and you will be ranking well and getting traffic.
